Tight Lines For 2014
The 2014 fishing season got off to a start on the 25th of February, on one of the rare days when the sun shone. River conditions were not conducive to productive fishing but a few enthusiasts “wet a line” to christen the season. The Burgh Anglers ceremony was presided over by Chairman Alex Saville, where following refreshments and speeches, piper Euan Grierson piped the procession to the river where the Provost, Ted Thompson, toasted the incoming season by pouring a bottle of whisky into the Nith.
