North Solway Fishery Officers Training

Fishery Officers from the North Solway area extending from Stranraer to the Border with England are participating in coordinated training sessions over the winter months.

At a recent event, hosted by the River Nith, officers were engaged in a mock operation using night vision equipment.  The event was well received and all who attended contributed to a successful evening.  It is intended that these “sharing best practise” events provide a forum for problem solving and honing of fishery enforcement techniques.
