Fish Stocking Crawick Water
Nith District Salmon Fishery Board (NDSFB), assisted by representatives of Scottish Power Energy Networks stocked some sea trout and salmon fry into the Crawick Water at Sanquhar. This exercise was part of a suite of mitigation measures considered appropriate to reduce the environmental impact of the requirement to enter the watercourse during the spawning season. The stocking was conducted during a period of low flow conditions conducive to fry survival. NDSFB look forward to continuing working with Scottish Power on their many projects throughout the River Nith catchment.
