Fish death investigated

A concerned local angler reported a couple of dead fish upstream from Auldgirth Bridge earlier today and we went out with the angler to investigate.  On retrieving and examining the two sea trout, it is thought that they have both died of disease.  There was no external damage to the fish but fungal infection was present.  Photographs of the fish have been sent to a PHD student, Sandra Schlittenhardt at Stirling University who is investigating incidents of UDN in Scotland.
