Nith Sea Trout Experience 2023
Following the success of the Sea Trout Experience since its inception in 2015, the Nith District Salmon Fishery Board is pleased to announce that the ‘Nith Sea Trout Experience’ event will be run again during 2023. Fishing beats on the river have been kindly donated by the owners and sea trout fishing is provided “free of charge” to participants registered onto the event.
To book your place on the River Nith Sea Trout Experience 2023, either call the office 01387 740043 or complete the ‘Participant Application Form’ see below and email to outreach@river-nith.com no later than Monday 5th June.
Dates: The event will take place over the following dates
Friday 23rd June 2023
Friday 30th June 2023
Friday 7th July 2023
Friday 14th July 2023
Rules:
- Nith Sea Trout Experience will be run every Friday evening from 6.00pm to 6.00am Saturday morning commencing Friday 23rd June – Friday 14th July inclusive (four weeks in total)
- Participants will have to register by completing a Participant Application Form by Monday 5th June to take part
- Individuals and groups of up to four may participate
- Group members may be substituted by alternative participants
- Participants do not have to fish every week
- Participants fish a different beat each week
- Returns have to be sent by email/phone to NDSFB no later than the 9am Monday morning following Friday’s fishing. Reports can be made to outreach@river-nith.com or by leaving a message on 01387 740043
- Beat representatives will show participants round the beat on Friday evenings
- Fly fishing only will be permitted
- There will be a 100% catch and release policy for this event
Space is limited and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Notification of beat allocation will be emailed along with other instructions following registration date deadline.
