Robin Rigg report by Marine Scotland
Marine Scotland recently published a report on the potential influence of Robin Rigg Wind Farm on Atlantic salmon abundance in the rivers to the east of the farm. Using rod catch data and juvenile salmonid data they found that there were no significant effect detected but that due to the limited power of rod data and electrofishing data to detect changes in abundance there was a “1 in 5 chance that the wind farm could be depressing Atlantic salmon abundance by as much as 40% without being detected”. The full report can be found here.
