May’s Nith Young Anglers Club outing
We were out with the Nith Young Anglers Club on Saturday 13th May at Dunscore Worms Coarse Fishery. The young anglers were using whips with maggots, sweetcorn and worms. The fish certainly seemed to like what they were offering as they had over 30 fish for the day including tench, roach, rudd and perch. Martin Phipps, owner of the fishery, kindly donated a tub of worms and sweetcorn to each child and three rods as prizes for the largest fish caught which was caught by Edward Colvin, the most fish caught which went to Kieran Carter and the most perservering angler which went to Fergus Clanachan. Well done to everyone and a huge thanks to Martin for letting us to fish there free of charge, providing the prizes and Paul for all the advice.
The Nith Young Anglers Club all togged up for a day’s fishing for coarse fish at Dunscore Worms Fishery.
